Phonics Parents’ Meeting EYFS This workshop, hosted by the EYFS team and the Deputy Headteacher, is an opportunity to learn some of the ‘Read Write Inc.’ strategies we use to teach phonics, so you can support your child at home to improve their reading skills as well as enjoy reading. |

Rights Respecting Information Session This will be led by Effie Demetriou. Bowes is becoming a Rights Respecting School! Join this session to find out about what this means and what we are doing at Bowes to protect children’s rights. |

Phonics Parents’ meeting Years 1 and 2 This workshop, hosted by the Assistant Headteacher and the Deputy Headteacher for Key Stage 1, is an opportunity to learn some of the ‘Read Write Inc.’ strategies we use to teach phonics, so you can support your child at home to improve their reading skills as well as enjoy reading. You will also learn about the details of the Phonics Screening Check which takes place in Year 1 and 2. |

E-safety - Hosted by Education Child Protection This essential workshop provides parents with an insight into the wide array of apps, games and websites that children are using to complement what they are learning in school. Because we take online safety very seriously, we require all parents to have attended a virtual Parents Online Awareness session. We also encourage parents to use this opportunity to have a refresher, even if you have previously attended one of our workshops. |

Friends of Bowes Winter Fair Please come and support the school and enjoy some seasonal singing by all the children. There will be a variety of stalls including hot and cold refreshments, Winter Grotto, Christmas trees, festive treats plus many more. |

Art Workshop for Parents Our Art Teacher will be running a parent workshop in our creative hub. The workshop will focus on a printmaking technique that is taught to the children to demonstrate a part of their creative journey whilst they are at Bowes.
The workshop will be just for adults, so no children will be permitted to attend on this occasion. |
